We have stocked the Trading Huts for 2026 to try and keep our prices the same as 2025, some items are still held at 2024 prices, while stocks last,first come, first served.
The E.P.H.G Trading Huts are situated by the side of Elm Park Library in St. Nicholas Avenue.
Opening times: We are open every SUNDAY morning,
(1st March 2026 to 1st November 2026)
from 09.00 to 12 NOON.
Here we sell a wide range of horticultural products at very competitive prices. Compare our prices with the local nurseries!
We have a fine selection of plants for sale, prices are much cheaper than shops & garden centres. We have a new delivery every Thursday morning, we are there until around 10.30am so why not pop along.
We also sell local home produced fresh honey @ £ 8.00 a jar
We have a collection box on our main counter to collect any loose change you may wish to donate in aid of First Step, a local charity for Children with special needs. Last year you helped raise over £ 100.00.00 for this very worthy cause.
We can also take orders for spring and summer plants or shrubs you may want for your gardens and pots and will try our very best to get them for you.

Fertilizers are made up of three major plant nutrients, Nitrogen, Phosphates and Potash, (N.P.K.).
In general terms;- Nitrogen feeds / produces good leaves
Phosphates feeds / produces good roots
Potash feeds / produces good flowers & fruit
Each fertilizer has different proportions of each and so has its own particular use.

Jeyes Fluid is an excellent disinfectant with many uses in the garden and greenhouse. At this time of the year clean all pots and garden tools which have been used before storing them. The greenhouse should also be disinfected with Jeyes or greenhouse fumigator to kill off any over wintering spores and diseases. We sell both at our trading huts.
